Corner Predictions Today

Daily picks on total corners, corner handicaps and first half corners, built from attacking style, crossing volume and game state rather than goals.

No prediction is ever sure. Tips here are opinions built on form and statistics, so treat them as research, not a promise. 18+.

Our corner kick prediction list gives today's picks on total corners, corner handicaps and first half corners, for punters who like a market where the score itself does not decide the bet. A 0-0 can still deliver twelve corners if one side camps in the other's half. Below you will find today's corner prediction picks, the statistics that drive them and the way corner markets are settled at Ghanaian bookmakers.

Corner prediction for today

Each pick shows the match, kick-off in GMT, the corner line (for example over 9.5) and the price we saw. Corner lines differ more between bookmakers than result prices do, so compare the line as well as the odds.

Corners awarded but not taken before the whistle usually do not count. Extra time is excluded unless stated. Rules can vary slightly, so read your bookmaker's settlement terms for corners.

What drives corner counts

Playing style

Teams that attack down the flanks and cross often win more corners than teams that build through the middle. Wing-backs pushing high, inverted wingers cutting in to shoot, and long-range efforts blocked by defenders all generate corners.

Territory and shots

We look at shots, shots blocked and touches in the opponent's box. These track corners more closely than goals do. Expected goals help too: a side with high xG from crosses and set pieces is likely to be pressing in the final third for long spells.

Game state

A favourite that falls behind usually throws players forward, and corner counts rise late. A favourite that scores early can sit back and let the count stall. This is why corner handicaps on big favourites are riskier than they look.

Team news and price

A missing first-choice wide player or a team switching to a back three changes the pattern. Finally, our estimated chance must beat the price: over 9.5 at 1.85 implies about 54%, and we need a clear margin above that.

Leagues for corner betting

The English Premier League, followed closely across Ghana, has a high-tempo style and a deep supply of corner data, which makes it our main source. Some leagues with slower build-up play produce fewer corners on average. In the Ghana Premier League reliable corner statistics are hard to find, so we rarely tip corner markets there. Weather counts too: heavy rain and wind lead to more blocked crosses and clearances behind.

Staking corner picks in cedis

Corner lines sit near even money, so a flat stake suits them. A unit of GHS 5 from a GHS 300 monthly budget is reasonable. Corner markets often carry a slightly higher bookmaker margin than match result markets, so be selective: two good corner picks beat six average ones. Avoid long corner accumulators; one quiet match ends the slip.

Placing a corners bet in Ghana

  1. Top up with AT Money, MTN MoMo or Telecel Cash.
  2. Open the match and look for a "Corners" tab, often under more markets.
  3. Check the line number before the price: over 9.5 and over 10.5 are very different bets.
  4. Add the stake and confirm. Corner picks can be shared in a booking code like any other selection.

Common corner betting mistakes

  • Using goals as a proxy. High-scoring teams do not always win many corners.
  • Ignoring the score effect. An early goal for the favourite often kills the over.
  • Betting first half corners on slow starters. Many teams feel each other out for 20 minutes.
  • Buying a "best corner prediction site" membership. Corner outcomes are as uncertain as any other market, and paid tips do not change that.

Corner prediction for tomorrow and the weekend

Corner picks go up once team news is close to final, usually on the day of the match. For an early look at upcoming fixtures, check the tomorrow predictions and weekend predictions, then return here on matchday for the corner lines. Line-ups matter more for corners than for many markets, because a single change at full-back or on the wing can reshape a team's attacking pattern.

Keeping your own corner records

Corner statistics are less widely published than goals, so it pays to keep a simple record of the teams you bet on most: corners won and conceded at home and away over the last ten games. A notebook or a phone spreadsheet is enough. Within a few weeks you will see which sides consistently push the count up and which ones rarely reach the opponent's byline. That habit also shows you whether any tipster, us included, is adding value over simply following the averages.

For goal-based markets, see the BTTS predictions. Betting is for adults aged 18+.

Frequently asked questions

Do corners in extra time count?

Usually not. Standard corner markets are settled on 90 minutes plus stoppage time. Check your bookmaker's rules for each market.

What is a good corner line to bet on?

There is no universal line. Most top-flight matches are priced around 9.5 or 10.5 total corners. The right line is the one where your estimate beats the price.

Does a corner that is awarded but not taken count?

In most bookmakers' rules it does not. Only corners actually taken count towards the settlement.

Why do corner lines differ between bookmakers?

Corner markets are less heavily traded than results, so each bookmaker sets its own line and margin. Comparing two or three can be worth it.
