In a correct score market, "Other" (sometimes "Any other score") is a single selection that wins when the final scoreline is not one of the scores listed on the grid, so it covers results such as 5-2 or 4-4 that the bookmaker did not price separately. That one word causes more confused tickets than almost anything else on a Ghanaian slip, which is why this hub starts with it. Below you will find short answers to the market questions we hear most, then the full guides to bet slips, strategy, tax and placing your first bet.
The meaning of Other in correct score
A correct score grid lists the common results, for example every score from 0-0 up to around 4-4, depending on the operator. Each listed score has its own price. "Other" bundles everything outside that list into one selection. Three details matter:
- The list differs by bookmaker. One site may list scores up to 4-4, another only to 3-3, so "Other" covers different results on different sites. Check the grid before you assume 4-1 is included.
- Some sites split it. You may see "Other home win", "Other draw" and "Other away win" instead of one line.
- The 17-way format. Some books offer a compact correct score market with a fixed number of outcomes, the listed scores plus an Other line, which is where searches for "correct score 17 way meaning" come from.
A correct score of 1-0 means the home team wins by exactly that score; 2-1 means home 2, away 1. Anytime correct score variants exist on some sites but follow their own rules, so read the market description. Our correct score predictions show how hard this market is to call.
Over 2.5 and other goal lines
Over 2.5 goals wins when the match ends with three or more goals in total, counting both teams. Under 2.5 wins with two goals or fewer. The half goal is there so the bet cannot end level. Over 2 (a whole number) is an Asian line: exactly two goals returns your stake, three or more wins. When a tipster writes "over 2.5 prediction", they mean they expect at least three goals, nothing more. Daily picks live on our over 2.5 page.
BTTS, 1X2 and combined markets
| Market | Wins when | Common trap |
|---|---|---|
| 1X2 | 1 home win, X draw, 2 away win at full time | Extra time and penalties do not count in most football markets |
| BTTS (GG) | Both teams score at least once | A 3-0 win loses BTTS even though there were goals |
| 1X2 and BTTS | Your result and both teams scoring both happen | Both parts must win; one wrong part loses the leg |
| BTTS and over 2.5 | Both score and three or more goals | 1-1 meets the first part but not the second |
HT/FT meaning in betting
HT/FT asks you to call the result at half time and at full time. The first figure is the half, the second is the final whistle:
- 1/1: home team leading at half time and winning at full time.
- 1/2: home ahead at the break, away team wins. Rare and priced high.
- 2/1: away ahead at half time, home team turns it round.
- 2/2: away leads at both points.
- X/1, X/2, X/X: level at the break, then home win, away win or draw.
- 0/1 style: some tipsters write 0 for a draw, so "0 1" usually means draw at half time, home win at full time.
The HT/FT predictions page explains when this market is worth a look.

How we write these guides
Each guide is written for punters in Ghana, with prices in GHS, kick-offs in GMT and payments through MTN MoMo, Telecel Cash and AT Money. Where we describe an operator feature, it comes from the operator's published terms, help pages or app store listing, and we say so. We do not sell tips, and we do not claim any market is safe; every bet can lose. The way we judge bookmakers is set out on our how we rate page.
Online betting in Ghana is legal for adults 18+ with operators licensed by the Gaming Commission of Ghana. Learn the markets first, stake small, and stop when it stops being fun.
Frequently asked questions
What does Other mean in correct score?
It is one selection covering every final score that is not listed on that bookmaker's correct score grid, such as 5-1 or 4-3. The list of scores differs between sites.
Does Other include a 4-0 win?
Only if 4-0 is not already listed as its own selection. If the grid shows 4-0, then 4-0 settles on that line, not on Other.
What is the meaning of over 2.5 in a bet?
Over 2.5 goals wins when both teams together score three or more goals in normal time. Two goals or fewer and the bet loses.
What does HT/FT 2/1 mean?
The away team is ahead at half time and the home team is ahead at full time. Both halves of the prediction must be right for the bet to win.
Do extra time goals count for over 2.5 or BTTS?
In most football markets no. Bets usually settle on 90 minutes plus stoppage time, but always read the market rules on the slip.
