1/10 Our score

Advertiser disclosure: we may earn a commission when you join an operator through links on this page. It never changes our scores. How we make money.

Our Helabet review for Ghana comes down to one finding: Helabet is not on the Gaming Commission of Ghana's register of licensed operators, and we found no Ghana-specific Helabet site. That means it is an unlicensed offshore brand for Ghanaian players, and we do not recommend depositing with it. Below is what we found and what to use instead.

Tamale Online is an independent review site with no link to Helabet. We checked the Commission register (88 entries), the international Helabet site and its information pages in October 2026. We did not open an account. Betting is 18+ only.

Is Helabet legit in Ghana?

Not in the sense that protects you. A website can work technically and still be outside Ghanaian law. Under the Gaming Act 2006 (Act 721), betting operators serving Ghana need a Gaming Commission licence, and licensed brands appear on the Commission's public list. Helabet does not. We also could not see who runs the site or which regulator, if any, oversees it. If something went wrong with a withdrawal, you would have no Ghanaian body to complain to and no named company to pursue.

Risks for Ghanaian punters

  • Payments: with no Ghana site, there is no confirmed MoMo cashier. Offshore sites sometimes route deposits through agents or personal numbers, which leaves you with no proof of where your cedis went.
  • Currency: a euro bonus and a foreign account currency mean conversion losses on every deposit and payout.
  • Disputes: no local licence means no Commission complaint route.
  • Data: your ID and phone number go to a company you cannot identify.
  • Fake contacts: searches for a "Helabet customer care number" or "Helabet Ghana contacts" attract impostors. We found no official Ghana support line.

Helabet registration, bonus and promo codes

People search for Helabet registration, sign-up and promo codes, often after seeing bonus-code posts on Ghanaian websites. A promo code does not change the licence problem. The bonus on the international site is quoted in euros and governed by terms from an operator we could not name. We do not publish Helabet codes, and we advise against signing up from Ghana.

Helabet app

We found no Helabet app listed for Ghana. APK files offered on download sites carry the usual risks of unofficial apps, on top of the licence issue. More on this on the Helabet app page.

How to check any betting brand in two minutes

Helabet is not the only offshore name Ghanaians come across. Before you register anywhere, scroll to the footer and look for a Gaming Commission of Ghana licence line and a named company. Then search the Commission's list of licensed operators for the brand. Finally, open the cashier: a licensed Ghanaian bookmaker shows GHS and MoMo options in its own name, not a personal number. If any of the three checks fails, walk away.

Licensed alternatives in Ghana

If you liked the sound of Helabet's wide market list and casino, several licensed operators offer the same products with MoMo, GHS accounts and a Commission licence you can check:
