5 Odds Today: Two and Three-Leg Slips

A daily slip built to about 5.00 total odds from two or three priced-up legs, with the reasoning shown and a realistic view of how often such slips land.

No prediction is ever sure. Tips here are opinions built on form and statistics, so treat them as research, not a promise. 18+.

Our 5 odds today slip combines two or three selections whose prices multiply to roughly 5.00, so a GHS 10 stake would return about GHS 50 if every leg wins. Search engines push this as "sure 5 odds", but no slip at that price is sure: odds of 5.00 imply about a 20% chance, meaning four out of five such slips are expected to lose by the bookmaker's own maths. Our job is to find days where the real chance is a little better than the price suggests, and to skip days where it is not.

Each leg in the feed shows its own price, kick-off in GMT and a one-line reason. The total odds at the bottom are the product of the legs at the time we checked; your bookmaker may show slightly different numbers by the time you place it.

What "5 odds" actually means

Odds multiply on an accumulator. Two legs at 2.20 and 2.30 give 5.06. Three legs at 1.70 give 4.91. The second slip looks safer because each price is shorter, but it has three chances to fail instead of two. Neither is better by default; what matters is whether each individual price is fair.

BuildExample legsTotalImplied chance
Two legs2.20 x 2.305.06about 20%
Three legs1.70 x 1.70 x 1.704.91about 20%
SingleOne selection at 5.005.0020%

The implied chances are almost identical. The bookmaker's margin is charged on every leg, though, so longer slips lose a little more value with each selection added. That is one reason we rarely go beyond three legs for this target.

How we choose the legs

We start from the singles that pass our normal checks, then look for two or three that combine near 5.00. The checks:

  • Recent form, home and away separately, weighted by the strength of opponents.
  • Expected goals for and against, to see whether results match the chances being created.
  • Team news: injuries, suspensions and likely rotation around European or cup fixtures.
  • Value: our estimated probability must beat the implied probability of the price.

We avoid two legs from the same match, and we avoid legs that depend on each other in a way the bookmaker does not price (for example, a big favourite to win and the same team to keep a clean sheet). Markets mix freely: a home win, a both teams to score leg and an over 2.5 goals line can sit on the same slip if each stands on its own.

Big odds prediction versus high odds accumulator tips

Some punters prefer 10 odds slips or bigger. The maths gets harsh fast: 10.00 implies 10%, so nine in ten are expected to lose. We publish 5 odds as a ceiling for a daily slip because beyond that the result is mostly luck. If you want higher totals, look at our accumulator tips and treat them as a small-stake extra, not your main bet. If you prefer short prices, the 2 odds slip follows the same method at a lower target.

Staking a 5 odds slip in GHS

Because most of these slips lose, stake size is everything. With a monthly budget of GHS 400, a stake of GHS 4 to GHS 8 per slip lets you ride out a run of losses without topping up. Do not double the stake after a loss; with a 20% hit rate, losing streaks of six or seven are normal and doubling turns them into disasters. Our odds calculator shows the potential return for any stake.

Placing it at a Ghanaian bookmaker

  1. Fund your account through Mobile Money (MTN, Telecel or AT) and approve the prompt with your PIN.
  2. Add each leg to the betslip, or load our booking code if one is listed for the slip.
  3. Check that every price is still close to ours. If one leg has dropped a lot, the total may no longer be worth it.
  4. Enter the stake, read the potential win and confirm.

Mistakes that ruin 5 odds slips

  • Adding a "safe" fourth leg at 1.20. It barely moves the total but adds a real chance of failing.
  • Paying for "sure 5 odds". Telegram and WhatsApp sellers cannot know results; paid sure odds are a scam pattern.
  • Chasing with live bets when one leg loses early.
  • Ignoring kick-off times. A late GMT kick-off may be played after a key team news update you missed.

Reading the slip after the final whistle

When a slip loses, look at how it lost before judging the method. A leg that fell to a late penalty after the team created far more chances was a reasonable bet with an unlucky outcome. A leg that lost because the favourite rested half its side means the team news check was too loose. Keep a simple notebook or spreadsheet with the date, legs, prices and result; after fifty slips you will know far more about the value of any 5 odds source, ours included, than any screenshot of a winning ticket can show you.

Frequently asked questions

How often does a 5 odds slip win?

At fair prices, about one time in five. A good method aims to do a little better than that over many slips, not to win every day.

Is a two-leg or three-leg 5 odds slip better?

Neither is better in itself. Two legs give fewer chances to fail; three shorter legs can each be more predictable. We choose whichever legs offer value that day.

Why is there no 5 odds slip some days?

If we cannot find legs priced fairly, we publish nothing rather than force a slip together.

Can I split the slip into singles?

Yes. Placing each leg as a single at a smaller stake lowers the variance, though the maximum return is smaller.
