A bet slip (often written betslip) is the panel where your selections, stake and potential return are collected before you place a bet, and after placing it becomes your ticket, the record the bookmaker settles. To check a bet slip, open the bet history or My Bets area of the same account that placed it and look at its status and ticket number. Everything else, including screenshots on WhatsApp, is just a picture.
What a bet slip shows before you place it
On Ghanaian sites and apps the slip usually slides up from the bottom of the screen once you tap a price. Whatever the layout, the same building blocks appear:
| Field | What it means | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| Selections | Each match and the market you picked, for example Kotoko to win or over 2.5 | Right match, right market, right date |
| Odds per leg | The price of each selection | Prices can change while the slip is open |
| Bet type | Single, multiple (accumulator) or system | A multiple needs every leg to win |
| Total odds | All leg prices multiplied together on a multiple | Big totals mean low chances |
| Stake | Your money in GHS | Stays within your own limit |
| Potential win | Stake multiplied by total odds, before any bonus or deduction | Bonus boosts may have separate rules |
Some operators add a boost line for accumulators. betPawa, for example, advertises a Win Bonus on multiples, and Odibets lists a Multi Boost Bonus with its own terms page. These are calculated by the operator and can carry minimum odds or leg rules, so treat the figure as conditional until you read those terms.
Adding to the bet slip, step by step
- Tap the price next to the outcome you want. It turns highlighted and the slip counter goes up by one.
- Repeat for each match. Most sites stop you from combining two related outcomes from the same game in a normal multiple.
- Open the slip and choose single or multiple. With several singles you stake each line separately.
- Type your stake. Watch for an "odds changed" warning and accept or reject the new price.
- Place the bet. You should get a confirmation with a ticket or bet ID.
Before placing, many sites let you book the slip instead, which turns it into a code you can share. That is explained on our booking codes page.
Checking a bet slip after placing it
Checking a bet slip properly takes less than a minute. Log in, go to My Bets, Bet History or Open Bets, and open the ticket. You will see one of these statuses:
- Open or pending: at least one leg has not finished.
- Won: every leg has settled as a winner and the return has been credited to your balance.
- Lost: at least one leg lost. On a multiple, one losing leg is enough.
- Void or cancelled: a leg was cancelled, for example a postponed match. On a multiple, that leg usually counts at odds of 1.00 and the rest stand, but check the operator's rules.
- Cashed out: you took an early settlement offer. Both betPawa and Odibets mention cash-out features in their published terms.
The bet slip number, also called ticket ID or reference number, is what customer care will ask for if a settlement looks wrong. Write it down or screenshot the ticket inside the app before you contact them.
Booking code versus ticket ID
These two numbers get mixed up all the time. A booking code is created before placing and only copies selections. A ticket ID is created after placing and refers to a real bet with real money attached. Sharing a booking code is harmless. Sharing your ticket ID together with your phone number and PIN can help someone take over your account, so keep the second pair private.
Fake winning bet slips and slip generators
Search results for "winning bet slip today" and "bet slip generator" are full of edited images. Tipster pages post them to prove they are winning, then ask for MoMo payment for the next slip. Here is how to keep perspective:
- A screenshot proves nothing. Fake slip generators and simple photo editors produce any total odds and any amount.
- Real tickets can be checked only inside the account that placed them. A seller who will not show a live account history has nothing to show.
- "High sure betslip" and similar labels are marketing. No slip is safe, and no seller knows results in advance.
- Creating fake slips to deceive people or claim payouts is fraud. Do not use these tools, even "for fun" in a group chat.
Betslips for today without the guesswork
If you came looking for a ready slip, start with reasoned picks instead of anonymous images. Our predictions for today explain each pick, and the accumulator tips page shows how quickly extra legs pile up risk. Build two or three selections you understand, check the slip line by line, then decide the stake.
Common slip mistakes in Ghana
- Picking the wrong fixture: the same two clubs can meet in the league and a cup within a few weeks, so check the competition name and the GMT kick-off time.
- Confusing 1X2 with double chance: 1X covers a home win or draw, not just a home win.
- Leaving an old leg on the slip from yesterday, which turns a single into a multiple.
- Assuming the potential win is final when a bonus or deduction rule applies; see our betting tax guide for how deductions were shown in the past.
- Staking more after a loss to "recover" on the next slip.
Betting is strictly for players aged 18+. A slip is a record of a risk you chose, so keep stakes small and walk away if it stops being entertainment.
Frequently asked questions
How do I check my bet slip?
Log in to the account that placed the bet, open My Bets or Bet History and tap the ticket. Its status shows open, won, lost, void or cashed out.
What is a bet slip number?
It is the unique ticket or reference ID created when you place a bet. Customer care uses it to find the bet if you query a settlement.
What happens to my slip if a match is postponed?
That leg is usually voided and counted at odds of 1.00, while the other legs stand. Exact rules depend on the operator's terms.
Can I edit a bet slip after placing it?
Normally no. You can only cash out if the operator offers it on that bet. Before placing, you can remove or change any selection.
Are winning bet slips shared online real?
Often not. Screenshots are easy to edit or generate. Only the account history of the person who placed the bet proves a win.
