Betika Ghana registration needs only a Ghanaian phone number: enter it on the sign-up page, type in the code Betika sends by SMS, choose a password and accept the terms. If you have no data, you can register on USSD from the same number instead. You must be 18+ to open an account. The full steps, and fixes for the usual snags, are below.
Register on Betika Ghana online
- Open the Betika Ghana site or app through the official link on this page. Check that prices are in cedis.
- Tap Register or Join.
- Enter your mobile number. Use the number tied to your MoMo wallet, because deposits and withdrawals run through it.
- Type in the verification code sent to you by SMS.
- Create a password that you do not use for email or MoMo.
- Confirm you are 18 or older and accept the terms and conditions.
- Log in and make your first deposit from the profile menu when you are ready.
Register on Betika through USSD
On a feature phone or without data, dial the Betika USSD code (*263#) from the number you want to register. Follow the menu prompts to create your account. You can later log in on the website or app with the same number. Whatever the menu asks, your mobile money PIN is only ever typed into your network's own payment prompt.
Which number should you use?
Your phone number is your Betika username, and payments go to and from the wallet on that number. That makes the choice important:
- Use a SIM registered in your own name. Withdrawals to a wallet in another person's name can be blocked.
- MTN numbers work with MTN MoMo; Telecel and AT numbers with Telecel Cash and AT Money, where Betika supports them.
- Do not register on a borrowed phone. Whoever holds the SIM can reset your password.
Does Betika need a Ghana Card?
Betika's published sign-up flow asks for a phone number, an SMS code and a password, not a document upload. The Gaming Commission of Ghana has, however, pushed operators toward stronger identity checks, including a 2025 directive on biometric verification. Betika may ask you to confirm your identity later, for example before a large withdrawal. Keep your Ghana Card details accurate and matching your SIM registration so that any check goes smoothly.
Problems during Betika registration
| Problem | What to try |
|---|---|
| SMS code does not arrive | Wait two minutes, check signal, tap resend once; make sure the number has no typing error |
| "Number already registered" | You may have signed up before, perhaps on USSD; use Forgot Password |
| Site shows another currency | You are on another country's Betika site; return to the Ghana version |
| Cannot log in after sign-up | Check the number format and reset the password by SMS |
If none of this works, use one of the support channels listed on the Betika Ghana site, such as WhatsApp chat or the phone line. Betika staff will never ask for your MoMo PIN.
After you register
New accounts can look at the current promotions; the only live new-customer offer we found is the Aviator free bet promotion, summarised in our facts box as Aviator welcome offer: up to 25 x GHS 1 free bets over the first 5 days. Before you chase any bonus, set a deposit limit in your account settings. For the app and low-data options, see the Betika app download and Betika Lite guides, and our Betika review for the full picture. New to betting itself? Start with how to bet in Ghana.
