A no deposit bonus is a small reward, usually a free bet or casino free spins, that a bookmaker gives you for registering without asking you to deposit first. They exist in Ghana but are much rarer and smaller than first deposit offers, and they carry strict rules: identity verification, minimum odds, short expiry and a cap on what you can win. This page explains how free bets without a deposit work, which operators currently show one, and how to avoid the fake offers that use the same words.

18+. Offers and terms change often: always read the full terms on the operator site before you deposit.

We list an operator here only when our records show a current offer that does not require a deposit. If no operator is listed, none is confirmed right now; these offers come and go quickly. The promotion terms on the bookmaker's own site are always final.

Two operators we rate published registration free bets when we checked. Soccabet offers a free bet on registration that can be used on any sport, once per person, with the stake not returned. Melbet gives a small free bet on registration within a set odds range; winnings from it, minus the token, become withdrawable only after a first deposit. Exact amounts sit in our operator data and on the operators' pages.

How no deposit offers usually work

TypeWhat you getTypical restrictions
Free bet on registrationA small sports betting token after sign-up and verificationMinimum odds, selected markets, stake not returned
Free spins no depositA number of spins on a named slotWagering on winnings, low maximum cashout
Bonus creditA small bonus balanceHigh rollover, short expiry
Free-to-play contestsPredict scores to win prizes without stakingPrizes are often free bets, not cash

Why winnings are capped

A no deposit offer costs the bookmaker money with no guarantee you will ever deposit. To limit abuse, operators cap the amount you can withdraw from no deposit winnings and often require a first deposit before any withdrawal at all. That is normal, but read the cap before you get excited about a big win on a free token.

Claiming a free bet with no deposit required

  1. Register with your own phone number and real name and date of birth.
  2. Verify your account. Ghanaian operators increasingly require identity checks, and many no deposit offers activate only after verification.
  3. Enter a promo code if the offer needs one; take it only from the operator or a trusted page.
  4. Find the token in your account and check its expiry date.
  5. Place it on a selection that meets the minimum odds and allowed markets.
  6. If it wins, read the withdrawal rules. You may need to deposit or wager further before cashing out.

Fake "no deposit" offers to avoid

Because free money is such an attractive phrase, scammers use it constantly. Watch out for:

  • Messages promising a "free GHS bonus" for registering through a link, which then ask for your MoMo PIN or an OTP. No real bookmaker needs either.
  • Posts claiming a huge no deposit bonus with free spins and real-money withdrawals of hundreds of dollars. Large offers of that kind are typical of unlicensed offshore casinos, not Ghanaian bookmakers.
  • Requests to pay a small "activation fee" to unlock a free bonus. Paying to receive something free is the scam.
  • Copy sites with names close to a known brand, built to harvest login details.

Is a no deposit bonus worth it?

It can be a cheap way to see how a site's app and bet slip work before you put money in, and that is its real value. As a way to win money, it is limited: the token is small, the cap is low and the conditions are strict. If you like the site after using the token, compare its full welcome offer on our welcome bonus page and check its licence in the licensed betting sites guide.

Better alternatives to chasing free money

If what you want is a cheap way to try betting, a small first deposit at a licensed site with a low minimum often gives more control than a no deposit token. You choose the market, you keep your stake rules, and withdrawals are not capped by bonus terms. Our minimum deposit betting sites page lists the operators that accept small amounts in cedis. Free-to-play prediction games run by some bookmakers are another option: you predict scores at no cost and may win free bets, without risking your own money.

One offer per person

No deposit offers are limited to one per person, phone number, device and household. Creating extra accounts with family members' numbers to claim them again breaks the terms, and operators routinely close such accounts and void winnings. It also complicates identity checks on your genuine account.

No deposit or not, betting is only for adults 18+. A free start should not lead you to deposit more than you planned.

Frequently asked questions

Is there a betting site in Ghana that gives free money on registration?

Some operators occasionally offer a small free bet or free spins after sign-up and verification. These are limited and change often; our list shows only confirmed current offers.

Can I withdraw a no deposit bonus?

Not the bonus itself. Winnings from it can usually be withdrawn only after meeting the terms, which may include wagering, a cap and sometimes a first deposit.

Why does a no deposit offer need ID verification?

To stop people claiming it many times with different accounts and to confirm you are 18+. Verification is also a general requirement for licensed operators.

Is a free bet on registration the same as a no deposit bonus?

Usually yes, when the token arrives after sign-up and verification without any payment. If the offer says you must deposit or place a first bet, it is a welcome bonus, not a no deposit one.

Are no deposit free spins available in Ghana?

Some bookmakers with casino sections offer them from time to time. Check the eligible slot, wagering on winnings and maximum cashout.
