Want to follow the steps on the operator site?

Go to SportyBet

SportyBet Lite is the name punters use for the light, browser-based way of using SportyBet: the mobile site you open in Chrome or Opera without installing anything. We could not find a separate "Lite" app published for Ghana on the operator's mobile page, which offers the standard Android APK and the iPhone app. So in Ghana, the safest Lite option is simply the official mobile website, saved to your home screen.

Tamale Online is an independent review site, not SportyBet. This page is based on the operator's public site as checked in October 2026. SportyBet is for 18+ players only.

How to set up SportyBet Lite on your phone

  1. Open your browser and go to the official SportyBet Ghana site. Check that the address is correct before logging in.
  2. Log in with your phone number and password.
  3. In Chrome, tap the three-dot menu and choose Add to Home screen. On iPhone, use Safari's Share button, then Add to Home Screen.
  4. Open SportyBet from the new icon. It behaves like a small app without using storage.

Why "SportyBet Lite APK" downloads are a bad idea

Several third-party sites offer a "sportybet lite app" or "sportybet mobile lite" APK. Some are just repackaged copies of the normal app; others add adverts or code that reads your SMS. Since SportyBet does not publish a Lite APK for Ghana that we could find, any file with that name comes from someone else. Searches for "sportybet lite ng" point to Nigeria, which runs on a different SportyBet country site with its own accounts and naira wallets; a Nigerian account will not work with Ghana MoMo.

Saving data and battery on SportyBet

  • Bet from the pre-match coupon rather than live pages, which refresh odds constantly.
  • Close the Livescore page when you are not watching it.
  • Use a booking code to load a slip instead of scrolling through every league. Our booking codes page shows how.
  • Avoid the games lobby on a weak connection; crash and live casino games stream continuously.
  • Turn on your browser's data saver mode.

No data at all? Use USSD for deposits

When you have no bundle, you can still top up your SportyBet balance by USSD with the Paybill code *711*222#, as published on the help page, and approve the payment with your MoMo PIN. Placing bets still needs the site or app. Full payment steps are on our SportyBet deposit page.

When the full app is better

If you have enough storage and want notifications, cashout alerts and a faster bet slip, install the official app. Our SportyBet app download guide explains the safe way for Android and iPhone. Either way, set a weekly budget in cedis before you start. 18+ only, and help is listed on our responsible gambling page.

Frequently asked questions

Is there an official SportyBet Lite app in Ghana?

We did not find one. The operator publishes the standard Android APK and an iPhone app; the light option is the mobile website.

Does the SportyBet mobile site have all features?

Yes for the essentials: betting, booking codes, cashout and the MoMo cashier. Notifications are limited compared with the app.

Can I use SportyBet Nigeria Lite in Ghana?

No. Nigeria and Ghana run on separate SportyBet country sites with separate accounts and currencies.
