Want to follow the steps on the operator site?

Go to Betano

Betano registration in Ghana happens on the official Betano Ghana site or app: tap the sign-up button, enter your personal details and a Ghanaian phone number, create a password, accept the terms and confirm you are 18+. Because Betano is licensed by the Gaming Commission of Ghana, expect identity verification as part of the process, most likely before your first withdrawal if not at sign-up.

Tamale Online is an independent review site. Betano Ghana's site blocked our checks in October 2026, so we could not record the exact form fields; the steps below describe what licensed Ghanaian bookmakers ask for and what to check. Follow the screens you see.

Sign up at Betano Ghana

Prepare before you start

  • A Ghanaian mobile number you own, ideally the one linked to your MoMo wallet.
  • Your name and date of birth exactly as on your ID.
  • A valid ID document, in case verification is requested.
  • A strong password you do not use for MoMo or email.

Betano sign up: step by step

  1. Open Betano Ghana through our button or by typing the address, then tap Register or Sign up.
  2. Enter your personal details. Use your real name; a mismatch with your MoMo name can hold up payouts.
  3. Add your phone number and confirm it with any SMS code sent.
  4. Choose a password and, if offered, a username.
  5. Look for a welcome offer selection or promo code field. Fill it only with an offer shown on Betano's own promotions page.
  6. Tick the boxes for terms and age, and finish.
  7. Set deposit limits in your account settings before your first payment.

Identity verification

The Gaming Commission has pressed licensed operators to verify players more strictly, and a 2025 directive called for biometric checks. How Betano applies this in Ghana is not something we could confirm, so be ready for a request to upload ID or complete a selfie check. Do it only inside the app or site. Betano will not ask you to send ID photos to a WhatsApp number.

Five sign-up mistakes to avoid

MistakeWhy it hurts
Using a nicknameVerification and MoMo payouts can fail
Registering someone else's numberWithdrawals go to the wallet tied to that number
Opening a second accountDuplicate accounts can be closed and bonuses voided
Signing up through a copycat siteYour details and money may go to fraudsters
Paying for a "registration promo code"Genuine codes are free; paid ones are scams

After registration

Log in, open the cashier and see which MoMo networks are offered and the minimum deposit. Our Betano Ghana review explains why these are still unconfirmed and how to deposit safely. You can bet from the app as well; see Betano app download. If you are new to betting, read how to bet before placing your first slip.
