Our tennis predictions cover ATP and WTA matches, with the occasional Challenger pick when the data is good enough. Each tip in the feed below shows the market (match winner, set handicap or total games), the price we saw and the reason, usually built on surface form, serve and return numbers and the schedule. Tennis has no draws and only two players, which makes it simple to follow and, at times, easier to price than football.
Tennis predictions today
Start times are given in GMT. Tennis schedules are written as "not before" times and slip whenever an earlier match runs long, so a 14:00 match may start well after that.
Tennis markets explained
| Market | What you back | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Match winner | Who wins the match | Player A to win |
| Set betting | The exact score in sets | Player A 2-1 |
| Set handicap | Winner after a sets head start | Player B +1.5 sets wins if B takes at least one set |
| Games handicap | Games margin over the match | Player A -3.5 games |
| Total games | Over or under a games line | Over 20.5 games |
Total games is where many of our picks land. In a best-of-three match, 6-4 6-4 adds up to 20 games, so under 20.5 wins; 7-5 6-4 makes 22, so over 20.5 wins. A match that goes to a third set almost always clears the line, which is why the question "will this go to three sets?" often matters more than "who wins?".
What drives our tennis picks
- Surface. Clay, hard and grass courts reward different styles. A player's results on the current surface over the last year count for more than overall ranking.
- Serve and return. The share of service games held and return games broken is the core of most tennis models. Two big servers point to tie-breaks and higher game totals.
- Schedule and fatigue. A long three-setter late the night before, travel between continents or a busy week can flatten even a top player.
- Motivation. Small events the week before a Grand Slam see more withdrawals and flat performances.
- Price. Heavy favourites at 1.10 or shorter rarely offer value; we look more often at handicaps and totals.
Grand Slam timing from Ghana
The four majors fall at very different hours here. The Australian Open in January is mostly overnight and early morning in Ghana. The French Open and Wimbledon play through the afternoon and early evening. The US Open evening sessions run late into the night, often past midnight GMT. Bear that in mind before you place a bet you will not be awake to follow.
Table tennis: a word of caution
Many bookmakers list table tennis almost around the clock, mostly from small professional leagues with matches every few minutes. It is popular for quick bets, and "table tennis predictions today" is a common search. We treat it carefully: data on these leagues is thin, the same players meet again and again, and the speed of play encourages impulsive betting. We post table tennis picks only rarely, and we suggest you limit how much time and money you spend on it.
Retirements and settlement rules
Tennis players sometimes retire injured mid-match. Bookmakers settle these cases differently: some void match winner bets unless a full set was completed, others settle them as soon as the first ball is struck. Before you bet, read the tennis rules in the operator's help pages, because the same retirement can mean a refund at one bookmaker and a loss at another.
Staking tennis picks in GHS
Tennis prices move fast, especially in live play. Stick to pre-match singles at one level unit, for example GHS 5 or GHS 10 depending on your monthly budget. Avoid long tennis accumulators: one upset or one retirement can end the slip early in the day.
Placing a tennis bet
- Log in to a licensed bookmaker and top up with MTN MoMo, AT Money or Telecel Cash.
- Go to the tennis section and find the tournament, then the match.
- Open the market from our pick, check the line (20.5 is not 21.5) and the price.
- Confirm the stake. If you plan to bet live, our page on live betting sites explains how in-play works.

Tennis betting mistakes
- Betting on ranking alone. Ranking lags behind current form and ignores surface.
- Stacking heavy favourites. Five players at 1.15 each still leave plenty of room for an upset.
- Chasing on table tennis. Fast markets make it easy to lose track of stakes.
- Skipping the retirement rule. Know how your bookmaker settles before you bet.
For other sports, see our basketball predictions. Betting is for adults 18+ only.
Frequently asked questions
What does over 20.5 games mean in tennis?
It means the total number of games played by both players in the match must be 21 or more. A 6-4 6-4 match has 20 games and loses the bet; 7-5 6-4 has 22 and wins it.
What happens to my bet if a player retires?
It depends on the bookmaker. Some void match bets unless a set was completed, others settle once play has started. Check the operator's tennis rules.
Do you post table tennis predictions?
Only occasionally. Data on the fast small leagues is thin, so we are cautious and suggest small stakes and short sessions.
What time do Grand Slam matches start in Ghana?
The Australian Open runs mostly overnight, the French Open and Wimbledon in the afternoon and evening, and US Open night sessions often go past midnight GMT.
