Aseda lotto results are published in the feed below after the NLA's Sunday draw, which runs earlier than the weekday games, at around 6:00 pm GMT. Sunday Aseda is a 5/90 game: five winning numbers drawn from 1 to 90, followed by five machine numbers. It was launched in July 2022 as the NLA's first-ever Sunday draw. Below we explain how to read both rows of numbers, why machine numbers matter to so many players and how to claim a Sunday win.

The feed shows the latest Sunday first, with the winning numbers and, when published, the machine numbers in a separate row. During the week it keeps showing last Sunday's draw, so check the date. The NLA's announcement is the official result.

Sunday Aseda draw time

Aseda is drawn every Sunday at around 6:00 pm GMT. When the NLA moved its live draws to GTV on 1 December 2025, the Monday to Saturday evening draw shifted to around 8:00 pm, but the Sunday slot stayed at 6:00 pm. There is no VAG morning draw on Sundays, so on that day Aseda is the main NLA result to check. Times can be changed by the NLA; if the feed looks late, check its announcements.

The story of Sunday Aseda

For years the NLA's week ended with Saturday's National Weekly. On 3 July 2022 the Authority launched Sunday Aseda, its first draw on a Sunday, completing a seven-day schedule of evening games. "Aseda" is a Twi word for thanksgiving, a fitting name for a Sunday game in Ghana. You will also see "Sunday special lotto" on some result sites and in searches; as far as we can tell, that name is used for the same NLA Sunday draw.

Machine numbers explained

Many Aseda searches include the words "machine numbers", and for good reason: Sunday players follow them closely. Here is what they are.

  • What they are: after the five winning numbers are drawn, the machine draws a second set of five. These are the machine numbers.
  • What they decide: nothing on a normal Direct, Perm or Banker ticket. Only the winning numbers settle those bets. The NLA launched a separate Machine Numbers game in 2016 for players who want to bet on them.
  • Why players track them: forecasters in Ghana have charted machine numbers for decades, believing they hint at future winning numbers.
  • What the maths says: machine numbers are drawn at random, just like the winning numbers. They carry no information about next week's draw or tomorrow's Monday Special.

The most common Sunday mistake is reading the machine row as the winning row. If your ticket seems to match the second line of numbers, look again before you celebrate.

How to check a Sunday Aseda ticket

  1. Confirm the ticket is for Sunday Aseda and today's date. A ticket bought after the Sunday cut-off may be for Monday Special instead.
  2. Find the winning row in the feed, not the machine row.
  3. Apply your bet type. A Direct-2 needs both chosen numbers among the five winning numbers; each Perm line is checked separately; a Banker needs its key number.
  4. Confirm with the NLA or your seller before throwing anything away.

The bet types are explained fully, with Perm line counts, on the NLA lotto hub.

Aseda lotto prediction: keep it in proportion

Sunday predictions often lean on Saturday's National Weekly results or last week's Aseda machine numbers. Neither helps. Each draw is independent, and any single number you choose has a 1 in 18 chance of being among the five, every Sunday. Our lotto statistics page shows frequency counts honestly and lists the warning signs of paid "Aseda banker" scams, including fake winning tickets and people posing as NLA officials.

Claiming a Sunday win

Because Sunday is not a working day, how fast you are paid depends on the channel. Digital purchases on licensed channels may settle small wins to your MoMo wallet soon after the draw. Agents may pay small wins on Monday. Larger wins go through NLA validation and are paid at Prize Payment Centres at the head office and regional offices during the week; take the original ticket and your Ghana Card. Missed a Sunday? Older Aseda draws are in the NLA past results archive, and Monday's game has its own Monday Special results page.

Sunday Aseda is for adults 18+ only. A Sunday ticket should be a small treat after the week, not a way to recover what the week cost you.

Frequently asked questions

What time is the Sunday Aseda draw?

Around 6:00 pm GMT every Sunday. It kept that slot when the NLA moved its Monday to Saturday draws to around 8:00 pm on GTV in December 2025.

When did Sunday Aseda start?

The NLA launched Sunday Aseda on 3 July 2022 as its first-ever Sunday draw.

Do Aseda machine numbers count on my ticket?

Not on a normal Direct, Perm or Banker ticket. Only the five winning numbers settle those bets. Machine numbers are a separate set drawn afterwards.

Is Sunday special lotto the same as Sunday Aseda?

As far as we can tell, yes. "Sunday special" is a name some players and sites use for the NLA Sunday draw, whose official name is Sunday Aseda.

Can machine numbers predict next week's Aseda?

No. They are drawn at random like the winning numbers and carry no information about future draws.
