The Plinko game drops a ball from the top of a triangle of pegs; it bounces left or right at each peg and lands in a slot at the bottom that pays a multiple of your stake. Online Plinko is a casino instant game based on the board made famous by the American TV show The Price Is Right, hosted for years by Bob Barker. In casino versions, such as those from BGaming and Spribe, you choose the number of rows and a risk level, and the slot multipliers change accordingly.
How online Plinko plays
- Set a stake in GHS.
- Choose the number of rows of pegs (a common range is 8 to 16).
- Choose a risk level: low, medium or high, depending on the version.
- Drop the ball, or set auto play for a number of drops.
- The ball lands in a slot and pays the multiplier shown there.
Rows and risk: how the board changes
| Setting | Centre slots | Edge slots |
|---|---|---|
| Low risk | Close to the stake, small losses or wins | Modest multipliers |
| High risk | Well below the stake | Large multipliers |
| More rows | Ball lands near the centre even more often | Extreme slots become rarer and pay more |
Most balls land near the middle, because the bounces follow a bell-shaped spread. High-risk boards make those middle slots pay less than your stake, so you lose a bit on most drops and rely on rare edge hits.
Plinko RTP
Each provider publishes its own RTP in the rules: BGaming advertises a high figure for its Plinko, and Spribe publishes one for its version too. The numbers differ by version and by casino settings, so check the info screen on the game you open. A high RTP means a small edge, not a profit.
Auto play: the hidden cost
Plinko's auto mode can drop dozens of balls in a minute. At GHS 1 a ball, a few minutes of auto play turns over hundreds of cedis and exposes you to the edge every time. If you use it, set a small number of drops and a loss limit.
Plinko demo and online Plinko apps
Many casinos offer a Plinko demo. Be careful with stand-alone "earn money" Plinko apps on app stores and in ads: many are not licensed gambling products, and some promise payouts they never make. Play real money Plinko only inside a licensed operator's casino.
Plinko "strategy" and scams
No row count or risk setting removes the house edge. Telegram "Plinko signals" and patterns that claim to predict the bounces are scams; the path is generated by the provider's random system. Choose settings for the experience you want (calmer with low risk, swingier with high risk) and keep stakes small.
