The Member of Parliament for Yapei-Kusawgu, John Abdulai Jinapor has absorbed the Mock Examination fees of some 1,080 candidates in the Central Gonja District with an amount of Nine Thousand Ghana Cedis (GHc9,000).
The gesture is to cater for a mock examination as students across the district ready themselves for to undertake the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) slated for November.
Constituency Secretary, Latif Iddi Atingpo on Wednesday, October 6, 2021 present the money to the Central Gonja District Education Directorate on the behalf of the former Power Minister under the erstwhile Mahama administration.
According to him, the gesture also forms part of the John Jinapor’s quest to improve academic performance in schools across the district.
He assured the Directorate of the MP’s commitment to sustain the sponsorship to make education affordable for all.
The District Director of Education who received the cash donation commended the NDC MP for the cash donation indicating that, it would go a long way to aid in the candidate’s preparedness for the exams.
Veronica Tampour Kuupol further expressed gratitude to John Jinapor for his unflinching support towards the upliftment of education in the district.
However, she pledged to use the money for its intended purpose.
