VGMA 2019: Maccasio’s “Dagomba Girl” Nominated Reggae/Dancehall Song of The Year

Charter House Ghana Limited, organizers of the annual Vodafone Ghana Music Awards [VGMAs] have released the first bath of nominations for the 2019 edition of the scheme.

The official announcement for the 20th edition was made at the Labadi Beach Hotel today [Friday], 15th March, 2019.

69 Boss Maccasio has been included in this year’s edition with a nomination for his smash hit single “Dagomba Girl” featuring silky male vocalist Mugeez of R2bees fame in the Reggae/Dancehall category.

The “Too Big” hitmaker is paired in the same category with the likes of Samini, Shatta Wale and Stonebowy.

The VGMAs is the most prestigious night in Ghana’s music industry designed to recognize industry players for the hard work and contributions to music development in the country.

However, Maccasio who has worked tirelessly in the year under review releasing major hits, hosting and headdlining several concerts like the “Total Shutdown Concert” held at the Bukum Arena in Accra.

He has also delivered a spectacular performance at the 4th edition of the S-Concert at the Fantasy Dome in December 2018.

The Zola rapper god is looking forward to winning the yet to be announced New Act of the year category after winning same at the Ghana Music Awards South Africa last year.
