TV3’s Komla Klutse In Hot Waters For Allegedly “Disrespecting” Newly Enskined Yaa Naa

The Dagbon Forum has accused TV3 journalist, Komla Kluster of gross disrespect towards the newly enskined Overlord of Dagbon, Yaa Naa Abubakari Mahama II.

Mr. Kluster was among pressmen who covered the official coronation on Friday, January 19 at the Gbewaa Palace in Yendi, and subsequently had the opportunity to an exclusively interview with the Yaa Naa.

The Dagbon Forum in a statement signed by its president, Dr Abdulai Sulemana Mobson and copied condemned Mr. Klutse for some questions he posed to the Yaa Naa after the historic event Saturday, 26th January, 2019 and is therefore demanding an apology from the reporter.

According to the statement, “Komla repeatedly asked the King if he had taste for finesse as shown in his reaction upon seeing the Jaguar car, donated by the Government, for the first time. He went further to hold the King’s hand, with emphasis on the Rolex watch he was wearing, again repeating the issue of his love for finesse.”

It said…. “Komla Klutse’s action was unprofessional, immature and showed total disrespect towards the Ya Naa, in terms of his status, age and the circumstances.”

However, the Forum is not only seeking an apology from Komla Klutse but withdrawal of the “offensive footage” from all media outlets.
