Open borders for Ghanaians stuck abroad to return – Sarkodie pleads with Akuffo-Addo

BET award winner Sarkodie has applauded President Akuffo-Addo in dealing with the Coronavirus pandemic in Ghana.

The Tema-based rapper also expressed appreciation for his efforts and leadership in this critical period of the epidemic.

The President yesterday announced the lifting of the partial lockdown of Greater Accra, Greater Kumasi and Kasoa and its adjourning districts effective Monday, April 20, 2020.

However, the closure of borders has been extended whiles the ban on public gatherings and events remain until further notice.

But the Oofeetso composer made a passionate appeal to President Akuffo-Addo to open the country at least for a day or two for Ghanaian citizens stuck abroad to return.

Mr president @NAkufoAddo you’ve done so well with how you handling this pandemic , we appreciate your effort 🙏🏿 But please can we open the boarders for at least a day or two in between time for citizens stuck outside to get back pls 🙏🏿
