North Gonja: Former MP for Daboya-Mankarigu accused of fueling suspension of NDC members

Mr. Ridwan Abubakari, an Aide to the DCE for North Gonja has accused the former Member of Parliament of Daboya-Mankarigu constituency, Hon. Lawyer Shaibu Obei Mahama of masterminding the suspension of some members of the NDC in the area following his defeat in the December 2020 polls.

In a Facebook post, Mr Ridwan Abubakari said, “he sponsored campaigns to get the constituency chairman (Alhaji Mora), the Regional Research Officer (Dr. Ekpampo), the former NGDA DCE (Hon. Soku Yahuza), and many other fine NDC guys sacked or suspended from the party”.

According to him, the “diabolic spectacle and hate agenda” against the construction of the Daboya bridge is turning around to divide the NDC in the constituency.

The former MP is alleged to have hired a photographer to take pictures of the White Volta River in Daboya scheduled for the bridge construction.

According to the DCE’s Aide, the said photographer did not only took pictures to run the alleged “hate agenda” but coached some NDC members to discredit and run down Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia with some edited videos.

This action according to Mr Ridwan is the belief of the former MP that successful construction of the bridge will mare his parliamentary chances in 2024.
