President Akufo-Addo has appointed former Metropolitan Chief Executive of Tamale Metropolitan Assembly, Iddrisu Musah Superior Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the Forest Commission.
Minister for Lands and Natural Resources, Samuel Abu Jinapor on behalf of the President announced Mr Superior’s appointment in an official letter addressed to him on Tuesday, November, 2, 2021.
The immediate past Tamale Mayor will also assist the CEO as Chief Auxiliary Officer of the Forestry Commission.
The outspoken politician in a Facebook post thanked the President, Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia and Lands Minister Abu Jinapor for the confidence reposed in him.
Musah Superior also pledged his support to the CEO of the Commission, Mr John Allotey to successfully execute his vision and mandate.
“I profoundly express my gratitude to the President for the confidence reposed in me. My thanks also go to the His Excellency, The Vice President, DMB and my Sector Minister, Hon SAJ for their huge endorsement of my appointment. Iddrisu Musah Superior was nominated as MCE for Tamale Metropolitan Assembly in March 2017 after the New Patriotic Party won the 2020 elections.
However, his tenure was marred with massive controversies involving party leaders and traders in the Northern Region.
Mr Superior is noted for his stands against indiscipline and quest to ensure a cleaner Tamale Metropolis.
