Muabarak Wakaso grabs first award in Chinese Super League

Ghana international Mubarak Wakaso picked up man of the match award in Jiansu Suning’s 2-1 win over Dalian Yifang in the Chinese Super League.

Goals from former Shakhtar Donetsk attacker Alex Teixera and Eder nullified that of Salomon Rondon, formerly of Newcastle United to catapult Suning to second position.

Teixera drew first blood for Suning at the Jinzhou stadium in the 74th minute but were pegged back fivw minutes later by Venezuela international Salomon Rondon but Eder struck late from the penalty spot to hand all three points to Jiangsu Suning.

Wakaso lasted 69 minutes in the game, dominating the midfield position. Today’s game was his second since joining the Chinese top flight side in the January trasnfer window.

Despite not lasting the entire duration of the game, the hard working midfield powerhouse picked up the man-of-the-match award.
