The presidential candidate for the largest opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama sets to head off to the Western North region on a three day working visits dubbed “SpeakOut” session.
The three day tour of the region will commence Tuesday, 18th February through to Thursday 20th February 2020.
A statement dated on 17th February 2020 and signed by the National Communication Officer, Sammy Gyamfi reads “among others, theSpeakOut Initiative will enable him to better appreciate their personal desires and expectations, the needs of their communities and what they consider should be the priorities of government towards improving their standard of living and enhance social infrastructure.”
According to the release, Mr. Mahama will lead the party’s manifesto committee who will take advantage of the session and incorporate some views of the people in the NDC’s “People’s Manifesto” for December 2020 elections.
The statement further indicated the “SpeakOutc tour will be replicated in all 16 regions of the country and serves as an opportunity for the leader of the party to meet, interact directly with the people of Ghana.
It is also ascertain the people’s expectations including the needs of the community, the priorities government has to do towards improving the living standards of the citizens, and to enhance social infrastructure.
