Multiple award-winning songstress Sherifa Gunu has underscored the need for wealthy men and women of Northern decent to invest in the creative arts industry.
The Dokpeda crooner believes these investments are pivotal for the survival of the dying Northern music industry.
According to her, musicians in the North are cash trapped and unable to push their works forward.
“There are a lot of great talents here [in the North] but the support is not there,” Sherifa Gunu told Is Hassan Dablee in an interview.
He continued “The potentials we have here can even compete with likes of Davido, Tekno and the likes.”
However, Sherifa Gunu is optimistic the Northern Showbiz will thrive in the coming years.
She therefore admonished businesses and companies to invest in the music business.
