The President of the Ghana Football Association Mr Kurt Simeon Edwin Okraku today 15, April 2021 paid a courtesy call on the Northern Regional Minister, Alhaji Shani Alhassan Shaibu at his at the Regional Coordinating Council (RCC).
The GFA president’s visitation to the regional coordinating council was to officially inform the minister of his three (3) day stay in the region.
This will be his second visit to the region after his election as President of the football management body.
In his welcome address, Mr Shani was impressed with the leadership of Mr Kurt over the football fraternity, but urged him to do more and also give much attention to the Northern region since the region has produced national and international football stars who have and still raise the flag of Ghana high.
Mr Kurt Okraku informed the minister that, he was impressed with the performance of most northern teams in the division one league but, promised to give equal opportunity to all teams in the competition.
The GFA president together with executive council members, appointment committee members and members of the division one league board earlier met the management members, official directors and supporters of division one league clubs to appreciate thier concerns and suggest ideas on how to make the 2nd round of the division one league better from the first round which was fraught with many challenges that nearly marred the beauty of the division one league.
