Declare Mahama winner of 2020 elections within 48hrs – NDC Chairman orders Jean Mensa

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has served a notice to the Electoral Commissioner, Jean Mansa to as a matter of urgency declare John Dramani Mahama as winner of the 2020 presidential elections.

The party says the former president is the legitimate winner of the just ended elections on 7th December, 2020 and accused the EC of manipulating the results in favor of President Akufo-Addo, presidential candidate of the NPP.

Addressing a charged crowd of the NDC in Tamale today [Wednesday, 16th December, 2020], Northern Regional Chairman Alhaji Ibrahim Mobila proclaimed victory for the party and has thus, called out Madam Jean Mansa to change the results by close of Friday, 18th December 2020.

“I am here to tell all the people in the Northern Region that we won the elections, we are begging the EC boss, she shouldn’t bring confusion into the country so we are telling her to come out immediately and change the results by Friday otherwise we will decide for our incoming President John Mahama,” Alhaji Mobila intimated.

The NDC held the demonstration to register their rejection of the 2020 presidential results.

Clad in red attire amidst laud singing and drumming through some principal streets of the Tamale Metropolis, the party supporters also held placards with various inscriptions in disagreement with the outcome of the elections.

Messages carried on the placards read the “stolen verdicts, Ghanaians voted for change, declare the right figures and stop faking figures, GH police is supposed to serve Ghanaians but not politicians” and many more.

Some angry supporters also burnt car tyres to further stress their misgivings of the verdict.
