Covid-19: Salifu Saeed, NDA CEO holds breakfast prayer with Imams in Tamale

The Northern Regional Minister together with the CEO of Northern Development Authority Dr. Alhassan Sulemana Anamzoya today Friday 3rd of April, held a break fast prayer meeting with some Imaams in Tamale to pray for Allah’s intervention in combating the deadly corona virus ( COVED-19).

The prayer led by the Northern Regional Chief Imaam is to seek the mercy of Allah as the nation battles with the rapid spread of Coved-19.

To help curb the spread of the virus, His Excellency The President and his Vice met with some Christian and Muslim leaders at the jubilee house some weeks back for a special breakfast prayer meeting.

This is what is been replicated by the Regional Minister and the CEO of NDA after the region became the second region in the country with the highest number of Coved-19 confirmed cases.

Muslim clerics in the northern region earlier declared Thursday the 2nd of April as a day of fasting followed by today Friday 3rd of April as a day for the breakfast prayer.

In his remarks, the CEO of NDA said His Excellency The President and his Vice, MMDC’S, CEO’S and other Government appointees have individually and collectively done their best to fight COVID-19 and it’s now time to look at the spritual aspect of the disease and seek Allah’s mercy in this difficult moment.

He further thanked the imaams for their unflinching support and their readiness to always support Government in his quest to end the spread of this deadly disease. He urge all Ghanaians to observe the safety protocols put in place by the authorities and continue to pray for the nation.
