The much talked-about broken Computerized Tomography (CT) Scan Machine at the Tamale Teaching Hospital (TTH) that generated disaffection between hospital staff and the public has fixed.
The machine has been dysfunctional for several months compelling clients to find alternatives outside the region at an additional cost.
But, management of the facility succumbed to pressure by the Concern Youth of Tamale petitioned the TTH and copied the King of Dagbon Yaa-Naa Abukari Ii, the Northern Regional Minister, Mayor of Tamale, Ghana Health Service (GHS), Chief, Religious Leaders and Youth Groups in Tamale as a matter of urgency fix the broken CT scan machine.
The petition signed by Sulemana Zakariah also reiterated issues of alleged extortion of monies from patients and gross unprofessionalism by some staff in line of duty at the hospital.
According to Prince Barak, a member of Concern Youth of Tamale revealed CT scan machine is now in working condition.
He stated that 31 patients were able to conduct their scan at the health facility Wednesday evening.
“As of the evening of March 9, 2022, 31 people had successfully completed their CT Scan at TTH,” Prince Barak stated in a Facebook post.
